An (E)scape

Today I stopped by the East Nashville Farmers' Market on my way home.

And they sang...

"You don't like my peaches, don't you shake my tree
Get out of my orchard, let my peaches be
And now she's gone but I don't worry
'Cause I'm sitting on top of the world"

A neighborhood guy named Andy was kind enough to let a stranger photograph his tattoo...

From a local artist named Rebecca Mudd.

And lastly, I regret not picking up a few of these babies...Garlic with their scapes.
Betcha can't find that in Kroger.

Farmer Jason Adkins described the long thin parts as like garlicky beans, and the little poms poms on the end hold garlic crystals for sprinkling. Magic!

I'd also like to try this recipe for White Bean and Garlic Scapes Dip drizzled with olive oil and sea salt. I hope the scapes make it back next week.

Peace and love, dear peaches.
